Karis Richmond

Dance Teacher

Advanced 1 Cecchetti, Unit 3/4 VCE Dance

Karis Richmond started studying with Peninsula School of Dance at the age of 4, from where her love of performing has blossomed.

Karis has completed numerous exams with ATOD and Cecchetti, and has also partaken in many of PSD’s extra projects, including musicals, scholarships, and the DanceStep program from a very young age. She also took part in the Choreographic Competition from 2013-2023, winning consecutive trophies throughout her run with her memorable dances. Karis also took part in Jason Coleman’s Humanimals production from 2018-2020, and was awarded a scholarship to his summer school in 2016.

Karis’s love of dance has continued through to her schooling, including creating and choreographing Dromana College’s 2023 Wakakirri production, and two school musicals in the top dance troupes. She completed her Units 3/4 VCE Dance in 2022, being offered a chance to audition for the VCAA Top Acts showcase.

Through teaching at PSD, Karis has found her passion, and aims to study education at university over the coming years.
