Tap Classes

ages 7+

Our tap program brings delight to our dance students and a smile to our teachers.

Our fun and energetic tap classes teaches steps and sequences, as well as rhythmic combinations and routines to deliver a great sense of achievement and creativity. Peninsula School of Dance uses the Australian Teachers of Dance Syllabus to teach our tap program.

WHAT TO WEAR

Tap

OPTION 1:

  • Tan tights
  • Tap shoes (Sapphire, Ruby Emerald: tan tap shoes Gold, Diamond, Adult: black cadence tap shoes)
  • Hair in ponytail or short hair neatly styled back off the face
  • Leotard in either:

(Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald) - Columbian Blue pinch front leotard
(Gold, Diamond and Adult) - Navy Blue

OPTION 2:

  • Tap shoes (Sapphire, Ruby Emerald: tan tap shoes Gold, Diamond, Adult: black cadence tap shoes)
  • Hair in ponytail or short hair neatly styled back off the face
  • PSD/black shorts
  • PSD singlet or PSD t-shirt/plain black t-shirt

NOTE: Tap shoes have NO heel for Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald. Black cadence tap shoes required for Gold level & above.

Class Fees

At Peninsula School of Dance, we understand that family life is busy and budgets can be tight. To make things easier, each term’s tuition is divided into three easy monthly instalments. This allows families to spread the cost of dance classes evenly across the term — helping with household budgeting and ensuring your child’s dance journey is stress-free.

  • Term 1: January, February, March

  • Term 2: April, May, June

  • Term 3: July, August, September

  • Term 4: October, November, December

Specialist Program Rates

These programs are billed separately to the fee schedule due the increased value provided within these programs. This includes specialist teachers, additional performance opportunities, costumes for events and the like.

Industry $30 per workshop

Private Lessons $40 per ½ hour

Industry program guidelines

Industry – Students must be in at least Ruby ballet, taking a minimum of 2 ballet classes per week and at least two other classes in other genres.

Our Industry programs are for dedicated students only! We do not require students to audition but do ask that they are committed and dedicated to their personal learning and development. Please email admin@peninsuladance.com.au to receive program guidelines and an application form.
